On Thursdays I'm going to offer a thirst quenching beverage! Perhaps it will be a time tested recipe that my family loves, or it might be a "fly by the seat of my pants" creation that sounds good! Today it is the second one...just started adding until it looked and tasted good :)
In each posting I will list who my Sous Chef was in the kitchen and the family critiques!
Sous Chef: Megan
Recipe: Simple Strawberry Smoothie
12 oz. strawberry yogurt
1/2 c. milk
2 1/2 c. strawberries
1 c. ice cream
1 c. crushed ice
1/2 t. vanilla
2 T. sugar (add depending on berry sweetness)
Blend all ingredients and serve immediately.

Cool new blog. No one in our family will eat bananas when they start turning brown so if you peal and place on a plate in the freezer (later add to a ziplock baggie or something once frozen) you can use inplace of ice cream and the sugar. frozen bananas make it just as thick as ice cream.
