Monday Mornings

Megan's WA State History report about a NW Native American Tribe needed to include something extra that showcased the history and culture of the tribe. Megan chose to make Fry Bread :) Although we didn't really eat this for a Morning Meal, we are using our Monday Morning category since Fry Bread was and can be used for any tribal meal :)

Chef: Megan

Recipe: Fry Bread (shared on the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe Website)

3 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
Milk
Sugar and Salt, add for taste
Mix dough, kind of sticky, then add more flour as needed. Let dough rest for about 1/2 hour. Once rested take and flatten small handfuls of dough and fry in hot oil/grease until it is golden brown on both sides.

Rolling...

Frying...

Flipping...

Critiques ~ We all enjoyed the Fry Bread and decided we are going to use it more in our Meal Planning :) We liked it best with butter, cinnamon and sugar!!
