Thirsty Thursdays

It has been a long while since I've posted on a Thirsty Thursday!  I have been meaning to share a hot chocolate recipe for the last few weeks, and I just didn't get around to it.  Finally, here is a really good one!

Sous Chef:  Anna (who told me as we were making it, "I don't really like Hot Chocolate." What?!)

Recipe:  Dreamy Hot Chocolate (by Gooseberry Patch, Christmas book 11...a new book for me!)

14-oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1/3 c. baking cocoa
2 t. vanilla extract
6 c. boiling water, divided (I only added about 5 cups total...it made it more chocolaty and creamier)
Garnishes: whipped cream, cinnamon

Combine condensed milk and cocoa in a saucepan; stir over low heat until smooth and warm.  Add vanilla and one cup boiling water; mix well.  Stir in remaining water.  Top each serving with garnishes, if desired.  Makes 6-8 servings.

Critiques ~
Those who actually wanted a cup to drink seemed to like it a lot! :)
